Getting Started

It's a good idea to read through the Overview, FAQ, and Getting Started sections in the Help Menu.

The Scheduling Wizard comes up automatically when you start the program. Select Schedule Wizard in the Schedule menu to bring up this screen anytime.
Click Quick Chart if you want to create a blank tournament bracket chart (no teams, times or locations). If you want names and locations on your chart, click on New Tournament.

Tutorial 1 - Tournament Setup (5 minutes)
Click New Tournament and add a tournament name.
After you enter the name of your tournament, the Tournament Setup window is automatically displayed. There are tabs for Events, Locations, Players, and Teams.

Events - Create one or more events for your tournament here. Specify each event as single player or team and specify the type (Single, Double, Round-Robin, Pool).
Locations - Add location names and assign locations to events.
Players - Add player information and assign players to single player events.
Teams - Add team names and assign teams to team events.

Tutorial 3 - Scheduling (3 minutes)
Click Game Times and enter the game time availability for each location.
Click Compute Schedule and select one or more events. This will assign game times and locations to each game in the event. To manually reschedule a game, click on the data/time.

Tutorial 2 - Seeding (2 minutes)
Click Seed Tournament to seed the teams. If you have not entered seed numbers, teams are seeded randomly. If you have entered seeds, teams are seeded based on the seeding method. The default seeding method is Advantage (gives advantage to top seeds). To change the seeding method, select Seeding Method from the Seed Menu. You may also manually seed teams.

Tutorial 4 - Scoring (1 minute)
Select Start Event from the Schedule Menu when you're ready to start an event.
Click on team or player name on the bracket chart and enter game scores. Winners will be advanced to the next bracket.

Tutorial 5 - Printing (2 minutes)
Click Chart Layout to select bracket style, print options, and fonts.
Click the Print Icon to print the current event bracket chart.
To view your own picture on the Tournament Scheduler Wizard screen, Click Find Picture (lower right).

Tutorial 6 - Publishing Free Web Site (3 minutes)
To create your tournament website, select Internet Options from the Internet menu. This is where you select you the reports, and pictures to include on your website. Use the tabs along the top of this screen to navigate. Add custom text on the Page Content tab. Click OK when finished.
Select Publish Website from the Internet menu. You will be prompted for a name the first time you publish. You can re-publish anytime to update your website as the tournament progresses.
