Category: Pointstreak K-ForCE Pocket PC
Subject:
RAPI.DLL was not found
Description:
Trying to install K-ForCE on a Dell Axim, by installed from a CD. I have also tried to download the trial version from website and both times received the message RAPI.dll was not found.

Solution:

That particular dll file is installed by the Windows ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center programs. You would need one of those software packages installed on your pc and have your handheld attached to the pc in order to install the KForce pocket pc software.

The version of the pocket pc connection software you need to use is dependent upon what version of windows you are running.

If you are running Windows XP or earlier you need to install Windows ActiveSync. This link will take you to the ActiveSync Site where you can download and install that software.

If you are running Windows Vista, you need to know if it is 32bit or 64bit Vista, then install the appropriate Windows Mobile Device Center install.
This link will take you to the Windows Mobile Site where you then choose 32 bit version or 64 bit version and then you can download and install that software.

After installing verify that your pocket pc is connected and synced and then try running the install for KForce again.
