Category: Address Manager
Subject:
Copy Address from one Address Type to another
Description:
I would like to copy an existing address and then place it into another address type without having to retype it.

How do I do this?

Solution:

Within Address Manager you don't need to copy or retype an Address in order to have it show in multiple address types. What you do is update the Address Types the address is assigned to.

Find one of the Contacts you want to assign to the new address type. Highlight that Contact and click the Change button. To add that Contact to another Address Type click the button with three dots on it '...' which is located just to the right of the Address Type drop down box. A box will display with your available Address Types, if that contact was already assigned to an Address Type, you will see a check in that box. Add a check to the new Address Types box and click OK.

The contact will now have Multiple Types displayed in the Address Type box meaning that contact belongs to multiple address types. When you want to list or generate a report for the new address type you will now see that contact on it.
