Category: StatTrak for Baseball
Subject:
Problem accessing data file
Description:
When I try to open the data file, Microsoft Access is asking for a Password.

I haven't applied a password to that file, how can I open the file?

Solution:

The file apssb.mdb is the datafile for the Stattrak for Baseball program. That file can only be opened using the Baseball program. To access the records on that file, you need to open up Baseball and then use the restore feature (File->Restore Database) in Baseball to bring up those records.

If you attempt to open that file using Microsoft Access you will find that it is password protected. We put that password in place to restrict access to our intellectual property, in this case the structure of our database files.
