Category: Address Manager
Subject:
Cant find my Label number
Description:
I have looked through the Label Type Listings and have not been able to find my label number. What can I do?

Does the software have an area for me to create a custom label?

Solution:

Address Manager does not have a custom label area to allow you to setup your own label sheets.

You do have a couple of options to solve this issue.

Some label manufacturers will include information listing Avery Label compatibility. Check to see if the packaging lists a compatible Avery Label and see if that one is available to choose.

Another would be to look at the dimensions and label layout for your label sheet and look for a sheet that is compatible. In the Label Type area there is an Info section which gives details about the label sheets.
Type is a general category of the Label
Size is the individual size of each label on the sheet(Width x Height)
Layout details how many labels per column on a sheet(# Columns x # Rows)
Page Size is size in inches of the sheet(Width x Height)

We are constantly updating the label info as new label layouts are released. If you are running an older version of Address Manager, you may not have the most up to date copy of the Label Type configuration file. This file can be downloaded and saved to get you up to date. Click the link below and choose open. A box should display with the file mailit.cfg in it. Copy that file and save it in the folder c:\windows\system32 overwriting the old mailit configuration file. Close Address Manager and reopen to get the new labels.
