Category: League Scheduler
Subject:
Unable to email backup file
Description:
I would like to email my backup file of data to get the data on another computer running League Scheduler. When I try to email the file I receive a warning message that the file may be unsafe. Is there a way around this?

Solution:

Older versions of League Scheduler created backup files that had a .mdb file extension. That file extension may cause it to be blocked by email programs.

After doing the backup, rename the file's extension from .mdb to .abc (or anything that the antivirus software doesn't prompt you about). Then after receiving the file on the other end, rename it back to .mdb, then you can restore it normally.

Also, League Scheduler version should not have an issue with this as it creates backup files with the .ls file extension.
