Run-time Error 339 MSCOMCTL.OCX
|
I am receiving the following error with your software
Runtime Error '339': Component 'mscomctl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid
|
One of the system files the software uses was not registered properly during installation, has been removed or has become corrupt.
Usually an uninstall then reinstall of the software will take care of an issue like this. This process will not affect your database file.
Or, you can follow the instructions below to register that component by hand.
Click Start, then Programs, then Accessories. Right-click on the command prompt and choose run as administrator. ***If you have Windows XP, just double-click on Command Prompt to open it.
Type this command into the command prompt window and hit enter.
regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\MSCOMCTL.ocx ***If you are running a 64bit Windows operating system, replace system32 with syswow64 in the above command***
You should get a message saying the file was registered successfully.
Try the software again.
If you receive a module failed to load error, verify the command you entered matches what is listed above.
If you continue to experience problems please let us know.
