My catcher bats 2nd and he gets on base. I put in a courtesy runner, lets say his name is John. Okay the problem is later in the game on put John in the right field and batting in the 8th spot. When I validate the game I get an error becuase John is the courtesy runner in the 2nd spot and a batter in the 8th spot. Is there a way around this?

This is just one of those cases where K-ForCE reports an error (it should just be a warning) when there is no error. This is perfectly legal for CRs to be placed into the lineup into a different spot than the player run for.
You can ignore this error.
