Details for Problem 16030
Problem ID: 16030
Start Date: 8/12/2014 4:14:06 PM

Category: Address Manager
Subject:
Clicking on Email produces error
Description:
I am creating new entries in StatTrak Address Manager version 5.1.30. Once I input and save an email address into the email field, it becomes a live link. But when I go to test them, a web page opens with the message, Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 0.0.0.1. Try reloading 0.0.0.1

We typically always use Google Chrome and have latest version installed.

Our business also uses Gmail for Business as its email carrier.

I'd like to be able to use the live email links within the address antries. Is there a known cause / fix for this problem?

I have attached a screenshot of the webpage I receive when clicking a live email address.

Thank you!

Solution:

Our software uses your computer's default email handler as defined in Windows- usually this is outlook or other windows-based mail software. However, it appears there is a way to do it with GMail and Chrome. Please follow the instructions at this site and let me know if this works:
