Practice Schedule
Description:
Is there a way to create a practice schedule?

Solution:

Instructions for creating a practice schedule
• Create a new schedule in your league. You can name it Practice Schedule.
• Click on Setup.
• Click on Locations and add your practice locations to the schedule. **Note: If you are setting more than one location and the locations will have corresponding times, you will need to have more than one Practice team created in the next step.**
• Click on Teams and add two divisions.
• Name one division Practice and the other Regular.
• Click the Practice division and add the Practice team/s.
• Click the Regular division and add all the other teams to it.
• Add any necessary team exceptions.
• Add in your practice schedule Start Date.
• Click Game Times to create the practice times for your location/s.
• You may add Exceptions if you have any.
• Click on Options
• Set the Compute Options as follows:
• Times teams play each other inside division set to 0.
• Outside the division set to the number of practices you want to schedule.
• The other Compute options are OR options so you cannot set them.
• Set the Team Options
• Maximum games per day needs to be set to the minimum number of slots a Practice team will get assigned to on a given day. (I.e. if you have 3 teams practicing on the same day at a single location (3pm, 4pm, and 5 pm) you will need this option set to 3.)
• Leave the defaults for Maximum games per week(99) and Minimum days off between games(0)
• Set the Compute Method to Compute Method 1, but you may need to try Method 2 if Method 1 does not create an efficient schedule.
• Set Conflicts with other Schedules. By default this option is checked to make sure games are not created that conflict with other schedules games. You may set it to only verify against Selected Schedules (during the Compute you will be asked to select the Schedules to verify against). You could also uncheck the box if you have no reason to verify against any other schedules.
• Click Compute. A schedule will be created where the teams will be scheduled to play against Practice teams only.
