Website pages not showing updated information
|
When I go to the published website, I only see old data. I just published new info to the website but I do not see those updates when I view the website.

If you go to your website and it is not showing your updated info, it may be because your web browser is caching webpages to help speed up your viewing of websites. This is also known as Temporary Internet Files, your web browser saves recent website files so the next time you go to the site you don't have to download all of the info from the site to view it. The problem with that is you may not see the most recent changes to the website you are on. The website information on the webserver is correct, but what you are seeing are the older versions of the data that your web browser had saved previously.
Sometimes you able to fix this by just hitting the Refresh/Reload Arrows button when you are on a page on your website.
If that does not work each browser has a way to bypass the cache and re-pool the website for the webpage. CTRL+F5 works for most all browsers(IE, Firefox and Chrome).
Internet Explorer and Chrome have an additional way... Hold CTRL and then click the Refresh/Reload Arrows button.
Mozilla Firefox has additional options... Hold CTRL and SHIFT and press the R button on your keyboard. Hold SHIFT and click the Reload Arrows button.
Finally, another way to fix the issue is to clear the cache(temporary internet files) from your web-browser. Then exit the browser and finally go back into your website.
